About this bottle
Wahaka Espadín Joven is made in San Dionisio Ocotepec, Oaxaca, from agave grown on the producer's estate. Pit roasting, tahona milling, wild fermentation and double distillation in copper shape an unaged mezcal with a direct connection to its agave and traditional process. The agave's growing age is not an age statement for the bottled spirit.
Tasting notes
Roasted agave leads the palate, with soft pine-smoke character and a fresh, earthy background. The smoke supports rather than overwhelms the agave, carrying into a gently warming finish.
