Vago Espadín by Joel Barriga is the gold-label joven mezcal made at Hacienda Tapanalá in Oaxaca. Joel's expression uses tahona-milled Espadín and copper stills, with natural spring water contributing to its production. It is a distinct bottling from Vago's other mezcalero expressions and from Tío Rey's clay-pot-distilled mezcals.
Tasting notes
A bright, fruit-forward profile combines honey, grilled pineapple and caramelized banana. Lime brings freshness, while roasted agave and smoke give the finish its mezcal character.
