About this bottle

Uncharted Thunderstruck showcases seven-year-old Auchroisk single malt with an intense first-fill Oloroso sherry-cask influence. Bottled at its natural 59.1% ABV without chill filtration or added color, the release emphasizes dried fruit, chocolate and spice. Despite its name, this is an unpeated whisky rather than a smoky Islay malt.

Tasting Notes

Sticky toffee, hazelnut chocolate, brown sugar and cigar-box aromas lead the nose. Leather, rich fruit pudding and vanilla develop on the palate; water reveals more caramel and chocolate. The finish brings cinnamon-pastry spice.
