About this bottle

San Matías Tahona Reposado begins with Highland agave slowly cooked in brick ovens and crushed using the distillery's traditional basalt tahona. Fermentation in pine vats and double copper-pot distillation preserve the agave's aromatic character before a short oak rest adds roundness. This is the Tahona expression, distinct from the other Casa San Matías ranges.

Tasting notes

Ripe fruit and vanilla meet honey and hazelnut-like notes. A silky palate balances agave sweetness with a mineral accent, followed by a persistent finish of gentle cinnamon spice.

Serving suggestions

Serve neat or over one large cube. A tequila Old Fashioned with modest agave syrup and orange peel complements the honeyed and nutty notes without concealing the mineral character.
