About this bottle

Roots Diktamo is a Greek herbal liqueur built around dittany, a distinctive plant associated with Crete. Licorice and orris contribute to its layered herbal character. The expression takes an amaro-like approach, balancing earthy bitterness with a rounded mouthfeel.

Tasting Notes & Flavor Profile

Pronounced wild-herb and oregano-like notes lead, supported by licorice and a soft earthy dimension. Its bittersweet finish stays botanical rather than resembling a simple fruit liqueur.

Why You'll Love It

Diktamo is a distinctive alternative for amaro enthusiasts looking beyond Italian citrus-and-caramel profiles. The Cretan herb gives this expression its own identity.

Serving Suggestions

Serve neat or on ice. For a longer drink, add tonic and lemon zest; it also works in an amaro-inspired Negroni variation.
