Penelope Four Grain blends three bourbon mash bills that together include corn, wheat, rye and malted barley. The combination creates a rounded straight bourbon with a balance of grain sweetness, fruit and gentle spice. At 80 proof, it is the core Four Grain expression rather than Penelope's higher-strength Barrel Strength release.
Tasting notes
Corn sweetness and caramel meet light oak on the nose. Berry and citrus impressions accompany vanilla on the palate, followed by a soft buttercream- and cornbread-like finish with lingering spice.
