Ohishi Sakura Cask is a Japanese rice whisky made at Ohishi Distillery in Kumamoto. After maturation in brandy and sherry casks, the whisky is finished in locally sourced sakura wood, bringing a distinctive combination of fruit, warming spice and floral oak character.
Tasting notes
Caramel apple and toasted nut aromas lead to honey, cherry and warming allspice. A confectionary finish brings brown sugar, cocoa and a faint touch of sea salt.
