About this bottle
Mocel Cupreata Expression 2023 showcases Michoacán's Cupreata agave, locally called Chino. Distilled in 2023 in a batch of 360 bottles, the mezcal is made using an underground volcanic-stone oven, wild fermentation in pine-wood vats and double distillation in a wooden still. The ceramic presentation is crafted by Mexican artisans.
Tasting Notes
A delicate herbaceous character is balanced by earthiness and light smoke. The focus is on the agave and its growing environment rather than an aggressively smoky profile; small-batch production makes each expression distinct.
