About this bottle
Mizu Saga Barley is a single-distilled Japanese shochu made from two-row barley and black-koji rice grown in Saga Prefecture. Water from Kurokami-yama, or Black Hair Mountain, brings the spirit to a fuller 35% ABV. The traditional distillation preserves grain character and texture: this is shochu, not a neutral barley vodka.
Tasting notes
Floral, sake-like aromas meet banana-bread and fresh-grain notes. A buttery texture carries ripe-melon and vanilla-custard impressions, with an earthy, gently warming finish.
