About this bottle
Mizu Green Tea is single distilled from barley, black-koji rice and freshly steamed green tea from Ureshino in Saga Prefecture. The tea leaves ferment with the grains before distillation, preserving their aromatic character in a clear spirit. This is Japanese shochu, not green-tea-flavored vodka or a sweetened tea liqueur.
Tasting notes
Matcha-like aromas meet cacao and a savory nori impression. Passion fruit, banana and white-peach notes add contrast to the buttery palate, with a long, fragrant finish recalling green-tea ice cream.
