Krampus Bottled-in-Bond Rye is made from 100% locally grown rye for Chuckanut Bay Distillery in Whatcom County, Washington. The rye is mashed, fermented and distilled in Bellingham, then matured for five years and bottled at the bonded standard of 100 proof.
Tasting notes
This is a grain- and oak-driven rye rather than a sweetened Krampus liqueur. Expect an assertive rye profile with dry spice, mature oak and a concentrated structure that opens with a little water.
