About this bottle
El Viejito Extra Añejo Maddie Jager Selection combines Highland agave character with four years of maturation in French and American oak. Made at the family-owned El Viejito distillery in Atotonilco el Alto, this selection is bottled at 82 proof, retaining a little extra intensity alongside its mature barrel profile.
Tasting Notes
Caramel and seasoned oak frame the cooked-agave character. Vanilla-like sweetness and gentle spice develop across a rounded palate, followed by lingering oak warmth. The two oak types add depth without making this a flavored tequila.
