About this bottle
Don Chingón Sabe a Maguey is an artisanal Oaxacan white rum made by the Cortés Hernández family of mezcaleros. Piloncillo, a minimally processed cane sugar, forms the primary fermentable base, while a small amount of roasted agave adds an agave-spirit accent. The wash is spontaneously fermented in pine tanks and double distilled in the same copper pots used for mezcal.
Tasting Notes
Roasted cane and brown-sugar sweetness meet cooked-agave and herbal notes. A lightly smoky, vegetal edge runs through the palate before a warm, earthy finish.
