About this bottle

Doc Swinson's Alter Ego Triple Cask builds on sourced straight bourbon with finishing in Oloroso sherry, Pedro Ximénez sherry and Cognac casks. The finished components are brought together in former Cognac foeders before bottling. The process adds layered fruit and wood character while keeping bourbon at the center of the blend.

Tasting notes

Caramel and oak meet a dry, nutty character and gentle fruit sweetness. Warm spice gives structure to the rich palate, with an extended finish balancing bourbon sweetness and the finishing casks.

Serving suggestions

Try neat, then add a little water to open the nuttiness and spice. A large cube provides gradual dilution; toasted nuts or dark chocolate complements the richer barrel character.
