About this bottle
Compass Box The Peat Monster Cask Strength Origin Story celebrates twenty years of the smoky blended malt. This limited edition raises the intensity to 56.7% ABV, with a portion of the whisky finished in specially seasoned virgin American white oak barrels. It is a distinct release, not the standard-strength Peat Monster.
Tasting Notes
Barbecue smoke, green apple and citrus oils open the aroma, followed by cinnamon. Smoked almond, seaweed and cayenne-like spice deepen the palate, while the American oak contributes vanilla and further warming spice.
