About this bottle
Castle & Key Small Batch Wheated Bourbon replaces rye with wheat in a mash bill built around white corn and a substantial proportion of malted barley. Distilled in Frankfort, Kentucky, the expression emphasizes a rounded mouthfeel and a softer grain character while retaining the oak and spice expected from bourbon. Batch and bottling details are identified on the label.
Tasting Notes
Pastry and buttercream aromas meet orchard fruit and warm baking spice. Cane-sugar sweetness, dried peach and cherry-like notes develop on the palate, with toasted oak, pepper and a gently caramelized finish.
