About this bottle

Balcones Rum Cask Finished Single Malt brings two of the Texas distillery's spirits together. Selected Texas single malt spends additional time in casks previously used for Balcones Texas Rum, adding a rounded tropical layer to the malt. The whisky is bottled at cask strength; exact proof depends on the release.

Tasting notes

Caramelized sugar, cherry cola and banana-bread aromas lead into tropical fruit, molasses and sweet black tea. Gingerbread develops on a full palate, followed by a dry, long finish of cinnamon, burnt sugar and oak.

Serving suggestions

Begin with a small neat pour and add water gradually to explore the malt and rum-cask layers. A large cube provides slower dilution; toasted nuts complement the spice and wood.
