Dos Maderas 5+3 blends rums from Barbados and Guyana, first matured for five years in the Caribbean. A further three years in Palo Cortado sherry casks in Jerez, Spain, adds a second layer of cask character. The two-stage maturation balances tropical rum fruit with the depth of wine-seasoned oak.
Tasting notes
Pecan and vanilla aromas meet a lightly smoky oak note. Ripe fruit and tropical spice develop on the palate, with sherry influence and a tobacco-like accent through the finish.
