The Dalmore 25 Year is a Highland single malt shaped by American white-oak bourbon barrels, aged tawny Port pipes and Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks. The combination layers wine-cask richness over the distillery's citrus-and-chocolate character. This is the 25-year-old expression, not a vintage-specific single-cask bottling.
Tasting notes
Citrus, exotic fruit and vanilla introduce a palate of treacle-like toffee and chocolate truffle. Maple sweetness, dark chocolate and gingerbread spice extend the finish.
