About this bottle
Cihuatán Sahumerio is a limited-edition rum from El Salvador inspired by the Mayan sahumerio, a ceremonial vessel used for burning aromatic offerings. Master blender Gabriela Ayala combined four reserves aged between 12 and 14 years in ex-bourbon barrels to evoke floral, fruit and cacao aromas.
Tasting notes
Dried apricot, floral honey and a hint of incense lead the bouquet. Cacao, toasted nuts and rich wood notes follow on a layered palate with a lingering warm finish.
