About this bottle
Barrell American Vatted Malt brings together single malt whiskeys from several U.S. distilleries. The blend explores the diversity of American malt, combining different regional traditions rather than presenting whiskey from one distillery. Its name nods to the older term for a blend made entirely from single malts.
Tasting notes
Creamy malt sweetness and vanilla meet the earthy tang of mesquite smoke. Briny peat and toasted oak add contrast, with layered smoke, grain and wood unfolding gradually on the palate.

Serving suggestions
Serve a small pour neat, then add water gradually to explore the contrast between sweet malt and smoke. A large cube provides slower dilution and makes a useful comparison with the undiluted spirit.
