This distinctive 2024 batch aged for 12 years in Warehouses G and L and was bottled at a robust 107 proof. The distillery selected 209 barrels for the release. Unlike the 96-proof 2023 bottling or the 92-proof sweet-mash 2025 version, this is the full-flavored 2024 expression with its own vintage-specific barrel selection.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Bright apricot and apple notes meet spice cake, buttercream icing, sweet tobacco and warm oak.

Palate: Juicy fruit gives way to toasted oak and warming cinnamon spice.

Finish: Caramel apple and sweet tobacco join ground cinnamon and cacao in a long, complex finish.

Product Details

Producer: Old Forester

Series: Birthday Bourbon

Release year: 2024

Age: 12 years

Proof: 107

ABV: 53.5%

Barrel selection: 209 barrels

Maturation: Warehouses G and L

Bottle size: 750ml

Why You'll Love It

With its higher proof and concentrated fruit-and-spice character, the 2024 Birthday Bourbon is an exciting addition for collectors searching for a specific vintage or comparing successive Old Forester annual releases.

Serving Suggestions

Pour neat to experience the full 107-proof intensity, then add a touch of water to bring forward the orchard fruit, spice and oak.
