Each Birthday Bourbon year has a distinct flavor profile; this release is the citrus-and-honey accented 2023 edition, not the 2024 or 2025 bottlings.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Candied citrus and floral overtones develop into turbinado sugar, roasted coffee beans, cedar and charred oak.

Palate: Subtle citrus gives way to dark honey, molasses and rich charred-oak flavors.

Finish: Dry, toasty caramel and oak linger with bittersweet tannins.

Product Details

Producer: Old Forester

Series: Birthday Bourbon — 23rd annual edition

Release year: 2023

Age: 12 years

Proof: 96

ABV: 48%

Selection: Barrels from one day of production

Bottle size: 750ml

Why You'll Love It

Birthday Bourbon is sought after precisely because each annual bottling offers a different barrel selection and flavor experience.
